Former Hoosiers to Watch For in 2025

There are 40 former Hoosiers on rosters this season, 16 on Power Four rosters. Which of them should Indiana fans watch for in 2025?

An interesting wrinkle to college football fandom that the transfer portal has introduced since unlimited transferring opened in 2021 is that former Hoosiers are now competing in the same spaces as current Hoosiers.

I discussed in a recent BSB that the Indiana 2023 QBs room is scattered in 2025: Brendan Sorsby at Cincinnati, Tayven Jackson at UCF, Dexter Williams at Kennesaw State, and Broc Lowry at Western Michigan.

For some, this is an annoying intrusion of the professional game, but for others – like me – it’s really enjoyable and somewhat expands rooting interest and fandom. Regardless, it’s fun to track, which I’m doing on the Active Former Hoosiers spreadsheet (available in the BSB Free Resources).

In 2025, there will be 40 active former Hoosiers – 16 on Power Four rosters.
